Our Story

Legacy Apartment Staffing was founded in 2023 by John Modlin and his wife, Vicki. Their story is rooted in dedication, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to delivering dynamic staffing solutions that fill gaps within the apartment industry. John, a successful business owner with over two decades of leadership and experience in multifamily staffing and recruiting, is recognized for his endless volunteer work, which has become a cornerstone in the industry both on a local and national level. John has served as the past president of the Southern California Rental Housing Association, a NAA Lyceum Graduate, and an officer at large with the National Supplier Council. John is the Secretary and the 2025 VP of Education for the NAA National Suppliers Council (NSC).

John Modlin



Born and raised in California, John & Vicki have discovered a new home in South Carolina. John is a long-time comic book collector/reader, and when he’s not traveling for work, he enjoys spending time with his four grandkids.

Vicki Modlin

Vicki spent her early years teaching and directing at preschools and volunteering full days at elementary schools. She says, “I am not lost in the irony that as I aged, so did my new “classroom” of students, although my favorite audience now is my four grandchildren.”



Originally from Virginia, Erin enjoys wearing many hats: Legacy Branch Manager, chef at home, zoo keeper of 3 fur babies, reader of mystery books, and wife to a Navy sailor.

Ramona Chavez



Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Ramona has called San Diego home for the last 8 years. She loves anything outdoors, especially in the mountains, and loves visiting Ocean Beach with Rusty, her 15-year-old Miniature Dachshund.

Jeremy Modlin

When Jeremy is not at work, he enjoys a range of activities, from attending hockey games and reading to playing strategy games. Bonus fun fact: “Before discovering property management, I wanted to be a professional bowler.”

Jason Evermore

When Jason is not working, you may find him hiking and spending time with his wife and two kids. Their shared love for spending time outdoors together is a testament to the importance of family in Jason’s life. “Family means everything to me, and I try to bring that same sense of connection and care to everything I do at work.”

Jesenia was born in Hartford, Connecticut. However, she was raised in Greenville, South Carolina. She is a former educator and life-long learner! She has 2 miniature toy poodles and enjoys being outdoors.
